Great instructor and content! Joseph did a great job of making me feel comfortable and safe during my private rifle lesson. The content was tailored right to my level of competency and was exactly what I needed to progress my rifle skills. I got everything I wanted out of the lesson plus a little more. Fantastic experience! We did a group class concentrating on basic defensive strategies involving a vehicle and the various scenarios that may present in that environment. Safety was first and foremost before, during and after each lesson. Joe is a natural teacher and broke the instruction down to match the various skill levels in our group. The lessons were progressive and built up as our skills developed. I came away with many “aha” moments and I had a great time. Joe’s resume, experience and knowledge speaks for itself, I am sure. As a student I appreciated that he was organized and had a plan for each class I participated in. (No wasted time). Safety was a priority from start to finish and I appreciated the consistency each drill. Joe has strong teaching skills. He is able to be not only be assertive when a situation calls for emphasizing the importance, but also able to speak in a relaxed manner while working through a shooters issues. He was direct and clear about what he wanted and how we were going to approach drills. He explained what and why we were doing each drill and the importance, there was not ever a drill that was just, “Ok, Point at the target and shoot fast”.
